Microwave removal?

Using a sheet of paper, I've located what appear to be mounting screws on either side, about 8" back and 1.5" down from the front edge. There is nothing into the cabinets above and the two screws in the filter housing don't seem to hold the microwave in place. The wood above and to the sides do not appear to be removable.
Does anyone have any clue how I can remove this beast?

Try removing the exhaust grille at the top front. Mine had a piece of square steel tubing attached to the microwave, screwed to two pieces of aluminum angle attached to the cabinet.

I think I have the exact same setup. In mine, if i remove the 2 metal filters above the cook top there is 2 long (15-18 inches) screws that need to be removed. Then the whole unit (I believe) has to be lifted a few inches and brought forward to remove it from it's mounting plate.

My light bulb for the microwave is burned out and I want to replace it, but I don't have the strength to lift the unit in order to remove it. I'd love to see how you do it.

Mine also had wood screws going through the sides of the microwave into the adjacent cabinets. I had to remove the grease filters to see them.

Here is a video showing the removal of a microwave held up with the 2 long screws as well as other changes he had to make.

This is the manual for a Sharp Carosel Microwave. Page 27 shows how to replace the bulb underneath and the bulb inside the microwave.
