Mirror adjustment

I need to move the passenger side mirror out a little to allow full adjustment from the inside. I loosened the bolt on the bottom of the mount closest to the coach, but the arm will not budge. I sprayed a little WD 40 in the joint and am letting it soak. Does anyone have any suggestions on freeing up the arm?

Loosening the bolt on mine was all that was needed. If yours refuses to move, consider that there may be a ratchet feature to give the joint additional strength against the wind. Suggest an upward thump with the palm of your hand.

I don't know if your mirrors would be the same as my 2000 Dip, but on mine, there are 2 allen head set screws under some covers on the main part of the mount on the moho.

I just loosen the 2 set screws, readjust the arm angle, and retighten the set screws. Hope that helps.

"Rambling Man"......Take the palm of your hand and give the arm a good whack out near the mirror head. That's a Ramco mirror and you're adjusting it the proper way. If it hasn't been adjusted in a long time, the mirror is stuck.

Once you get it to move, the mirror head should be about 1" farther out than the side of the coach. There are two allen head screws that support the actual mirror head. Adjust the mirror to where you want it and then check to see that the mirror is evenly adjusted within the mirror head on both sides. Both the right and left edge of the mirror, when adjusted, should be the same distance form the edge of the mirror frame. If not, adjust the mirror head and then the mirror again. This could take several tries, but gets the mirror adjusted correctly. You should do this for the upper and lower portion of the mirror too.

I might suggest having someone move the mirror while you sit in the seat.
That way you aren't getting in and out a lot during adjustment.
Once it s where you want it, then retighten everything back up.
Just an idea.

The mirror's arm is sitting on a "taper" where you loosened the bottom bolt. Pushing up will get it to be able to move left and right. deSanford
