I have a 2000 Monaco Dynasty. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will have to winter camp in Minnesota this winter. We are at a RV park and we have an Aqua Hot heater. But, we would like to use electric heat as much as possible. I am trying to figure out what A/C outlets are controlled by which circuit breakers in the breaker panel in the bedroom, so that I do not overload a circuit with 2 heaters. There are 2 breaker boxes. The one on the passenger slide has the last breaker on the bottom labeled, Lamp Table, Armrest, Power Curtain (Opt). We do not have a power curtain, so, I am trying to locate the 120 VAC outlet that this refers to so that I can plug in another heater. Does anyone know where it may be?

Thanks for ANY advice, Pat

Tough to say whether my "Diplomat" experience will help with your Dynasty, but here goes....

Two of my three AC circuits on my rig are "circuit breakered" only at the Inverter. One of these is breakered at 20amps (on the Inverter) and directly feeds the microwave. The other Inverter-breaker, 15A, feeds most of the AC receptacles on board (which includes the TVs). Both of these breakers are physically on the Inverter.

The "third" AC circuit feeds only a few receptacles in the bedroom. The circuit breaker for this circuit is the only one whose breaker is actually inside the RV in the load center. This circuit is not fed by the Inverter, but directly from shore power.

So when I'm running those small electric heaters during winter (and I'm on shore power), I can plug one heater into the circuit in the living room area and still have both TVs and a couple of computers plugged in....and the 15A breaker will "hold" OK. The back bedroom receptacles (being on "3rd" circuit described above) can take the other electric heater.

Easy way is to take a lamp and plug it in. Turn off all of the breakers and then turn them on one at a time and back off. When you fined the one the light the light, mark it with a piece of take. With all of the other breakers off, move the lamp to a circuit that is off. Now turn on breakers until the lamp comes on. Now mark that breaker with a piece of tape as well.

You need to get one circuit on each side of the service, ie. each on a different 120 V leg.

You will still need to run some heat to keep the basement area warm.

Pat,

I guess this means you won't be coming back to Deerfield later this month. I had lunch with one of your neighbors, Kent C., who knows you. Gave him some of my old Norcold stuff. Very nice guy. Have you considered routing a high quality extension cord from the 20 amp outlet on the pedestal to inside the coach. Use that for electric heaters and you won't have to worry about overloads on the coach outlets.

Thank you all for the responses. I have an electrical background from long, long ago. I did trace down all the circuit breakers to their A/C outlets with a night light, but was unable to find that last outlet. I guess I'll just keep looking.

I plan to winterize the rig and leave it that way until the spring thaw. That was I won't have to worry about any water anywhere.

Yes, Bob, the rig will stay up here this winter. We are driving the car back on Friday to our stick home and then back up here later this fall. I'm afraid that the installation of the new Samsung refrig will have to wait. And, you are right, we will be stealing more power off the camp with some extra extension cords. Anything to keep us warm.
