Is there a mod to operate the slide while the engine is running. I hate having start the coach in order to air up and them shut off the coach to bring in the slides and having to restart it again.
Thanks in advance.

Crah:
There is a slideout disable fuse (Mine is fuse F17 - 5A) that can be removed and will allow you to operate your slides with the ignition key on. Check your front run bay fuse list. I was able to do this on my old 2002 Endeavor and also on my 2008 Camelot.
Good Luck,
Mike

I also ran the wire to the Air Brake so that the slides wouldn't go out or in with the engine running with the air brake on. Safety FIRST. One of the BEST mods yet......the way it should have been in the first place. Oh by the way Monaco Navastar does it the way I do on their 2012 rigs.

Sanford
Did you mean. With the parking brake off, or your foot on the brakes? I could understand if you meant with the parking brake on, so the coach couldn't move.
Thanks
Dennis

I am getting to old! I don't follow this post. Seems to me the only time you would want the slides to move is when the parking brake is engaged. If I read this post correctly, you cannot move the slides when the parking brake is on. On our coach the slides will not move when the engine is running but if the engine is off they will move, even with the parking brake engaged. I always leave the parking brake engaged until I get ready to put the transmission in gear and my foot is on the service brake.

Bob on my coach I also had to have the engine OFF before I could move the slides. That is why I changed the system so I could move them with the engine on, but like you mentioned with the air brake engaged (pulled up).

I'm curious ... why do you "start the coach in order to air up"? Does this mean you have air leveling that you use to put the coach back into driving mode before bringing in the slides? Do you mean the coach airs up because you are retracting the (hydraulic / electric) jacks before bringing in the slides? Why wouldn't you bring in the slides while the coach is leveled, using whatever your leveling system is, then start the engine and 'unleveling' process? Sorry, none of the coaches I've had (5) would have required this procedure so I'm curious.

Coached,
there are many treads about that, one is
leveling how tos
Basically HR/Monaco owner manuals says
Slides out on filled bags then level with the jacks
Retract jacks then Slide in on filled bags

Ok, I think I get it ... you are able to inflate your suspension as a separate function, not one that is tied into the leveling system? Every one we've had, whether HWH or PowerGear, didn't give us the ability to "air up" without using the leveling system. Yours is like a two stage process then? I see he said.

My 99 Beaver has a gen problem so I can only pull the slide in while connected to shore
power. Many times I have put the shore cord away and wished I could just start the gen and not have to get the cord out again to do the slide... So I looked but cant find
the fuse... the only fuse box i found was in the bedroom... I have no manual...
I have open all basement compartments. no fuses... but under the drivers window is
a terminal block which a picture on the door says "stereo slide out CB05 2 20a"...
It is on the battery side. has 2 wires on one nut and another nut in the middle.
Underneath is what might be a fuse?
nothing listed about the slide on the ignition side....
I looked under the dash no fuses...
help...

Does anyone know the location and fuse # for a 2009 cayman PBQ? I do not have that info in my manual.
Thank you
