Mutha,

I think the Safari plant was in downtown (such as it is) Harrisburg before they built the one out in the grass seed field. The chassis factory was there the last time we were. I'm not aware of a Safari factory in Coburg but it may have been. The Monaco plants in Coburg and Wakarusa In are virtual clones of each other.

The Beaver factory was in Bend, Or when Safari bought them out. They now build the Beavers in Coburg and the only thing going on in Bend is the cabinet factory. We visited the Beve plant after the GNARVR in 05, kinda sad to see those guys out of work.

Pusherpilot, The cabinet factory in Bend, to me was a "MAINSTAY" of BEAVER- their woodwork and cabinets have always been (and still are) spectacular in fit and finish! Those people really are true "masters" of the craft of wood working! There was a BEAVER at the Dallas show that was absolutly "breath taking" when you got onboard, mostly because of the interior Cabinets and finish out - no wonder the $859,000 MSRP.

Needless to say Safari (and now Monaco) really benifit from the production of the Bend cabinet works.
Glenn.
