Monaco Bankruptcy and Parts Inventory
When did Monaco go bankrupt? I was just checking on a replacement in dash backup monitor and radio and was told they are no longer in stock or manufactured for Monaco. Monaco will rewire your current system and install a new upgraded monitor for $125,000. It looks like it could cost a fortune to replace Monaco parts for preowned Monacos.

The monitor was made by Sony who no longer makes it specifically for Monaco.
I was told by a dealer that the $125,000 is what the current Monaco charges for the rewiring and installation of the new monitor.

Sir, I would go do another dealer, that dealer must not have a clue. Monaco parts or replacement parts from another source are very common. If you need a new monitor, most any make will work with your exsiting wiring. If you have the aladin system Silverleaf electronics sells a replacement. But by all means find a new dealer. JM2Cents

$125,000 now that's pretty funny. I'd give him a salute and head for the door.

125k. That's nuts. Suggest you find somewhere else. These devices are all out there and I would suspect the existing wiring in your RV can be re-used without running new.

Was the dealer being funny, just telling you he had no clue about the matter. My, for that money he could sell you a new MH.

The monitors in my 2008 Signature are Kenwood (there's two). I bet that you can use any monitor.

I have a B&W Sony B/U monitor and no there aren't any replacements for it and I was not able to come up with a repair center so I had to fix it myself. My coach OEM was never out of business but in regard to the back up monitor, forgettaboutit.

I was just at Northwest RV Supply in Eugene Oregon last week. They bought all the leftover stock from Monaco when the plant closed. They have TON'S of replacement parts! Their website is not all that great to find things, so I would suggest a phone all.
Here is their link.
