MONACO (MNC14.88, +0.27, +1.8%) the Coburg, Ore., producer of motorized and towable recreational vehicles, said it would consolidate the Indiana production of Holiday Rambler and McKenzie fifth-wheel and travel-trailer recreational vehicles from its plant in Elkhart to its Wakarusa and Warsaw facilities by the end of October. The move creates a "significant number of production positions" in the two other cities, Monaco said. "All current Elkhart towable employees will be eligible for transferred job opportunities with corresponding production lines in Warsaw or Wakarusa," the company said. Monaco is trying to decide what to do with the 260,000-square-foot (24,200-square-meter) facility it will vacate in Elkhart. To account for the costs of the move, Monaco said it would take one-time pretax charges totaling $1 million to $1.2 million in the third and fourth quarters. It expects the move to add 10 cents to 12 cents a share to earnings in its next fiscal year.

MODS, I tried to put this in the "INDUSTRY NEWS" forum, but it wouldn't let me post there, so if this is in the wrong forum please move it - Thanks Glenn

The industry news forum is "replies only" since posts there are limited to "admin" only.

Since your news article relates specifically to MONACO, I've moved this thread to that forum (per your request). ED
