Monaco Eastern Coming Home Rally Canceled

I unfortunately got a call from Monaco telling me that the Eastern Rally was canceled . This was a great rally and I was really looking forward to being there. I hope this is not a sign of the future.

It is a sign of the current times. At our midwestern HRRVC campouts and rallies, there have been fewer rigs attending. Plus the high fuel prices are causing some to consider "hanging it up."

Gas in Portland is $3.95 - $3.99. Across the river in Vancouver it is around $4.09. At home in Minnesota prices are around $3.50

I just refuse to let these fuel prices get me down. I'm going to hang in there and still go on my travels and enjoy my coach for as long as I can.

Maybe you missed it but we had an earlier post on this. Yes, I received the same call and a letter to follow. They did credit my card for the full $300 and indicated that they are looking for a place to have the 2009 rally. I took this to mean a smaller, less expensive location. If they have it next year we will make every effort to attend and hope to see you there.
