New to me 2001 Monaco Knight. Bathroom wall is separating from the coach wall. Has any one experienced this happening?

Harriette, Wecome to the life of motorhome ownership. If you could give us a little more detail, I'm sure that some our members would be happy to help. Again welcome.

Monaco Knight 2001 30' Diesel. Separation at the outside wall is now 3/4" at the floor, 1" at the toilet platform and room divider wall. Door is now off set. Has to be locked at the top to stay closed. Previous owner had changed out the toilet. Problem was not visable until after purchase and first road trip. Repairman said he has to completley dismantle to find the cause. Scarry thought!
We do like the rv and want to have many enjoyable miles.
Hope I have described the problem well enough. Just wanted to know if this has happened to someone else.
Thank you.

Hello Harriette and welcome to the forum. Sadly your repairman might be right, he may have to do some digging into things to figure out what's wrong, i.e. a bad later leak. Best get into it before so much damage is done that your repair bill really will be scary.

I think you mean the interior bathroom walls are shifting around in relation to the side wall structure. I had a little bit of this and solved it by shooting a few more screws through the wall to the floor and a couple of small "L" brackets in inconspicous locations. Haven't had any movement since. I had to reinforce the floor of the washer/dryer compartment too.

Be sure the walls are all aligned in the proper location before reinforcing.

Thank you. Your solution is pretty much the same as what the repairman indicated.
We hope to be back on the road again soon.
