I have a 40' Monaco Knight DFT with the full wall slide. At the bottom of the slide a gap between the body and the slide when closed. It is large enough that you can slip your fingers between the body and the slide. It has one gasket on the slide over hang but noting on the body such as another weatherstrip or gasket. It seems there has never been one or it was left off at the factory. I am afraid I will begin to get wasps and critters, the slide itself is sealed at the bottom with metal and they could not get into the coach I don't think. If one of you guys has a Monaco with a full wall slide can you tell me if there is suppose to be a seal r gasket, weatherstrip on the body. Both the sides of the body and the sides of the slide have a seal. Sorry for the rambling!!!!!!!

Although I do not have a full slide the slide with the couch and table does not close like the others since is must move up and down to fully extend. When closed I can reach my fingers up as you discribed. When it is open the slide area is sealed like the picture above.
Mine is a 2007 and I don't get anything in the coach from that slide when it is closed. It is sealed but not against the outside of the coach at the bottom. Hope this helps.

I have the 40ft pdq and my large slide is just like you say. Never had a problem with water or pests.

From the picture I cannot see if you have another seal on the outside edge of the slide, when it closes it would press against the body of the coach or at least again the gasket one the coach body. I am going to look at the next dealer I find that has one. I have already replaced the seals on the other side on the two other sides, I found some seals at Home Depot that worked great.

I currently have my super slide pulled in...I just went out and checked and I was able to put a finger through the gap. The gasket shown in my first post is what my finger hit as it is attached to the frame and not the slide out. There is no other gasket on the slide out bottom outside edge.

Thanks, I am going to say that it was made that way and live with it. Like I said I do not get any pest or water. I feel blessed that I have no leaks, I have a friend that has an Eagle and can't get one of his slides from leaking, the factory has worked on it several and have even rebuilt it.

I just went outside and I have the same seal as pictured and also my dft has a seal on the bottom that hits the body when the slide is retracted.
