Don't have to, most of the workers in Calif and many in Oregon were of Mexican heritage, legal immigrants I might add, anyway.

The article also says they are closing their Workhorse Custom Chassis manufacturing plant in Union City, Indiana and will consolidate that operation with other Navistar facilities. Wonder what that means? I checked the Workhorse website and it hasn't been updated in almost two years.

Could this be the beginning of the end? What will happen to tech support? The good old boys in Oregon are amazing. Great guys who really do know the answers. Will the Amish be manning the phones?

Said this on the rv.net......I just hope the service support and parts stays in Oregon...They really have gotten really on the ball with tech assistance and parts...Taylor Spike has it running well...and I'd hate to see these guys out of a job...yet again.

There was a post last week from a former Workhorse Ambassador and he mentioned all the WH Ambassadors had been released and they would not be at any of the upcoming RV shows??

As of June 22, 2011, the Workhorse Ambassador Program was terminated. All 6 ambassadors were notified that the program was canceled.

The Press Release has stated that the service facilities will remain open in Coburg.

We can always count on Driver to support Navistar no matter what happens! Service is not tech support and they were not even in the same building. There is more to this than has been reported.

My response was based on the press release and not unwaivering support for a company. I personally do not know if tech support and the service facilities are any where near one another. Pick up the phone and call TS and see if anyone answers the phones.

In regard to Workhorse, the service centers are independently owned and the Tech Support is in Michigan.

Yes it will be interesting to follow this entire story as it plays out over the next few weeks and months. Of direct interest to me and the readers of this forum will be the comments that are going to shared with customers at the upcoming FMCA Homecoming Rally in Madison, WI.

I cannot understand why they would cancel the Ambassador program if it gives them free advertising and people to work the RV shows that support WH 110%. Ambassadors have said that they received no monetary support from WH, and they show up to help at shows because they believe in WH ?? So no real cost to WH for the ambassador program??
Its strange they did not announce which plant WH production was being moved to as that decision would have been made prior to the announcement of the closing of the Union City plant??
Seems we will hear in the coming weeks, either good or bad.
