Hi All,

Just replacing some caulking up top,...... can you walk on the roof?

I have a 2006 La Palma.

Thanks,

Yes you can, just be careful not to slip or lose your balance, not the fall that hurts, just the sudden stop at the end.

Hi Joel
If you are caulking ip on the roof, it's suggested you don't use silicone. There is a floating caulk you need to use. I'm not sure of the name but I'm sure someone will chime in with the correct self floating caulk

Does anyone have any experience with a liquid sealant to paint over the sealer already on the roof joints? I hate to keep building up the sealer just to cover the existing sealer to insure there are no cracks for water to seep in. I would like to hear what others do for preventive roof maintenance and how often. I am not aware of any water leaks at this time.

This past winter i scraped the old sealant off and replaced with new Dicor self leveling sealant. Wasn't as bad as expected or as time consuming. After that applied 5 coats of zep. Man it sure is pretty now.
