Monaco Roof Air NOT WORKING! HELP
2003 Monaco Windsor 40PST was plugged in and not working. Started the gen and units started and then immediate shut down. Flipped main breaker couple times and they would start and then shut down. After about the third time, they no longer come on. Everything is set, mode/zone/temp etc and panel showing 120...can't figure out the problem. Anyone have any similar experience and a really really easy fix?

Start capacitors ? More plausible than seized compressors but that too is a possibility.

You might get more help if you got a moderator to move the post to general help forum for all RVs.
Next, it would help to know the brand and model of the A/C and generator.

Just a WAG here, but have you tried to reset the thermostat? I have instructions for the stat for my coach and I will attach just incase it also fits for your coach. Sometimes the thermostats just go nutty......Sure the cheapest solution if it works

If resetting the thermostat doesn't work you can
try the small communication wires .
They look like phone wires & plugs
One plugs on the back of the thermostat and goes to one
of the air cond then another one goes from that a/c to the other a/c .
Often just plugging and unplugging those connections will
restore air cond .
This is something that could stop both a/c units .

Thanks for the help
Appreciate all the feedback and ideas. Both units are now fully functioning. It appears it is going to be a ground issue.

What they said.
And, by the way, congrats!
I enjoy seeing other folks fix their problems almost as much as I enjoy fixing something myself. And to do that, I've bookmarked a lot of the fixed-threads from here. I'd like to add this one to the list, but ....

Solution turned out to be a learning curve...
Sorry everyone. Last night I honestly wasn't sure what I did to solve the solution. Bear in mind that we only picked this coach up on Monday so this is a huge learning curve for us trying to familiarize ourselves with its systems which are totally different from our older coachman. I had a volt meter and was checking the main breaker and fuse panel. When I touched one particular fuse, the units kicked on and worked without problem. After closing everything up and backing it into the carport, the systems wouldn't come back on again.. I took the meter back to the same fuse and when I touched it, both units came back on. This led me to believe I had a ground wire issue that I need to chase. This morning, however, when I was starting the search, I discovered that the inverter had inadvertently been turned off yesterday. I turned it on and now both units are working properly on both shore and gen power... Embarrassing but thankful it's not two new air units or a significant wiring issue.

Hmmm........... Inverter being on or off shouldn't affect your AC's
