Anyone been to the service facility in Oregon since the announcement that they were moving production east? How was the attitude in the service department? Are they leaving service open in Oregon?

We stopped by 3 weeks ago (without an appointment) haveing trouble with my cruise control. They said they were booked until October but I could be an unschedueled appointment and they would get to me when they could. They did have a tech come out and try to fix it. Guy worked on it for maybe 45 minutes but couldn't fix it, NO CHARGE!! They were very nice and helpful. I asked about the move and they just said the production was moveing not service. Both tech and service person were very nice. Going to stop by the rally in Albany today.

I highly recommend Elite RV Mobil Service, I have used them several times while in the Eugene area. They are laid off Monaco Techs that started their own service.

I'm parked in front of it right now. We had a broken HDMI connector from our large screen TV in the middle of the Coach to the front Satellite box compartment. They had to string a new cable, had a few other minor items fixed in about 3 hours. Waiting now for Tuesday to visit the Upholstery Shop for minor fix...operator problem caused this one. The Service Center were great people and did fine work. They will be staying here for sure and Navistar said they will be opening Service Centers in Southwest (Arizona) and Florida as well as the one in Indiana. Monaco appears to be in good hands as part of Navistar. Saw the 2012s and they are looking good.

rv.guru: I went to that web site but most was about selling MH's. How many service bays do you have? Do you have techs with real Moncao experience? We winter in that area and are often requiring a good service shop.

Well we had a less than good experience in Monaco Oregon. Drove there several weeks ago after being told by 2 different folks that we would be able to get in within a few days without an appt. Guy at front desk confirmed the same thing when we put in the paperwork. Well we waited 3 weeks(!!) and no service. Kept getting the run-around that it would be "only a few more days". Excuse was they were low on techs. Ended up getting service somewhere else.

I just had some work done at Monaco Service and I recommend them. They are also doing lube, oil changes, etc. Price includes a 10 point inspection. They know what they are doing, but it is hard to get an appointment in the summer.

I also had Erik from Elite Repair put in stainless steel skids under my full wall slide. He spent 30 minutes walking me around my coach, explaining the maintenance that I needed to do and how to do it and why. He is a really nice person and spent years at the Monaco factory and knows the coaches inside and out. He has a trailer that is basically a small machine shop and does everything on site at your RV. I will use him in the future for most of my coach repairs. Monaco Service recommends him for stuff that they can not do or for people that do not have an appointment.
