Monaco windshield
I just had a new windshield installed at the rev factory in Indiana. About 100 miles into our journey home, it started leaking air around the top corner on the drivers side. Me question is, should the rubber gasket be urethaned to the cab. The rubber has separated from the front cap. I took it there with windshield stress cracking issues. They said the hole was too small, so they cut the fiberglass to the right size and said that was the problem.

The urethane should be glued to the chassis and the glass all the way around 360 degrees

Monaco windshield
I had a similar issue with the last windshield. Urethaning the seal to the cap in not normally done. When hiring the installer I requested the seal to be urethaned to the cap. The glass was not urethaned to the seal though as I think there has to an allowance for movement somewhere. After the install I have much less wind noise and have not had any leaking. You can have the area of concern urethane and the seal heard in place until it cures but it will likely occur at the other corner also at some point.

Not sure what coach you have or year. I believe the new Monaco line built by REV are glued all the way around, the older legacy coaches are not.
New are built like cars, old like old cars.

When they build your coach no urethane was used but I found that it works much better if the seal is adhered to the cap.

Just had my windshield replaced last fri in Coburg OR, at RV Glass Solutions.
Had to sit the night so the urethane between gasket and body could set-up.

A question after reading the answers, is the best method for windshield replacement to urethane the seal to the cap and the glass to the seal?
I have a 2002 Signature Supreme and got a 1.5 inch round (bulls eye) chip real low in the driver corner cant see it from the inside in the shaded area.
They said it cant be repaired to deep, in Alaska and they want a lot to replace it.
96 Wideglide if you see this I was wondering if you might share the cost of your replacement at RV Glass Solutions.
I'm thinking about fixing it after I make the drive south and shopping for a place to take it.
Going to post a thread about places to go and price range, thanks

Monaco windshield
From what I have seen there can be an issue with the seal moving away from the cap, especially in the corners. I had this issue prior to needing my windshield replaced. I bought a new seal also because whoever did the last replacement hacked up the seal. Therefore I had my new seal urethaned to the cap. I did not have them urethane the seal to the windshield because this is not needed and they insisted that there needed to be allowance for some movement. If you contact Gaurdian they will give you a price to replace your specific windshield.

Just had my windshield replaced at RV Glass Solutions in Lakeland Fl. Original was only glued at the bottom, no urethane seal. Now window is sealed completely around. Noticed reduced wind noise. Overnight stay to cure seal. Better than original.

David : Does your 02 Sig have a 1 piece windshield?
Mine didn't need a new gasket, and the price was $2100.

I bought the gasket myself for $300 and had the windshield replaced for $1200. The insurance covered the windshield replacement.

Thanks everyone for the info this will give me a start, I have Progressive coverage, does anyone know if they have a required installer, I tried to call but gave up, on hold to long.
Wideglide it is a one piece windshield, your price sounds better I got a quote in AK, 2300 for the glass and 1200 to install it and about 1 month + for shipping, almost fell over.
Sounds like best bet would be to inspect your seal replace if damaged and only urethane the seal to the cap, thank you all.

Yeah, they seem to prefer to use the existing gasket unless there is an obvious problem with it.
