monarch heater control

the heater control on my monarch is either hot or cold with not much inbetween.
if you have it turned to anything other then all the way cold you get hot air.
Not sure if the heater control was supplied by ford on the v10 or added on by Monaco. Schematic or discription of how it all works would be helpful. AC seems to be working even with the other contorl knob set to heat as we get a lot of water melting whenever we stop.

I got the valve out and it has a part number H42C-2212-000. I found one on Ebay for $87. The one I took out seems to be working fine but I can get just a little air to go through in the closed position when I blow on the inlet.
Dosn't seem like there would be enough flow to be causing the problem. Also noted the the AC compressor is running even with the other control knob in the heater position and not in the defrost mode. Is this normal. With the control valve close the out let pipe still feels as if it has hot water running through it and the heater is still blowing hot air. Is the any other place the hot are would be coming from?

Still trying to get cold air

I did some additional investigation and found the the AC compressor only ran when the control knob was put into the vent/floor position. Compressor was not running when it was set on vent or floor by themself. Also found that there were some air leaks around the heater input in the engine compartment so that the heater could be pulling in engine compartment air which is more of a problem when parked and not moving. I reinstalled the control valve and I still feel that there is some warm water getting through the valve. The white lever on the heater control electric motor seems to have a larger hole and may be worn out a little. Even with the valve not connected to the lever and controlled by hand to the closed position, I still feel a warm outlet hose. Not as hot as the inlet hose but hotter then I think it should be. May have to try a new valve. I was thinking that maybe the water pressure was higher then the valve can handle and considered installing some kind of pressure restriction but that might lower the flow when we need heat. Please let me know if anyone else has this same problem. It seems to be all heat or all cold with nothing in between when the temperature know is set all the way to the cold end. Move it a little and you get all hot air. Will try again with the control know set to vent and see if it makes any difference without the AC compressor running.
