I have a 05 Beaver 40ft 4 slide witch I recently purchase and I find when driving on the highway I go over a swale in the road the front end porpuses about three or four times, and depending on the size of the swale as to the degree of bounce. The coach has 20k on it.

My guess is that it has Monroe shocks on it and they are blown. 20K is right around the time that the @#$% Monroe shocks go bad. If the shocks are all yellow top and bottom then they are Monroes. If they are then I think that buying new shocks will fix the problem and make the MH drive like better than new.

Agree. Sounds like bad shocks, regardless of the miles on the coach.

That is the very definition of "You need new shocks" The actual diagnostic symptom.

If you add shocks go ahead and add the Safety T Plus steering system. It should be standard eqpt. on all fiberglass buses. Not much money but makes driving in wind a comfortable experience. One front tire blowout and you will be glad you have it. For as little as it cost why take the chance?

I bought and installed new koni shocks this winter and vacation finally got here, i took it from northwest penna. To waves,nc 710 miles, wow what a differance with the new shocks! Mine use to porpoise also. No more, one bounce in a road dip and its over. Koni's are well worth the money. They also really improved the side to side ride and handling.

Yep, shocks are gone, new is the only solution to the problem.

Good luck.

We love our Koni FSD's - also second Bill's suggestion for the Safe-T-Plus. We had an abrupt right front blowout at 60 mph in a tight construction zone in heavy traffic leaving San Antonio, and I was REALLY glad to have it.
