I have the Norcold double door reefer and it started beeping a couple of nights ago. I got an AU-HE error code. The repair shop looked at it today and said that both of the AC heater elements are stuck open and will have to be replaced. He said it is fairly common.
Has anyone had this type of problem before?

Mama,
It is the four door like yours. Parts should be in tomorrow and when I get it repaired, I will let everyone know the specifics of the problem.

Be interested to hear the solution.
I kinda agree with Sixpack98, can't recall hearing of it before. And the fact that the shop said BOTH elements went out is also curious.
But hey, the important part is getting it fixed!

Still waiting on parts, but here is the parts list and on-line manual web address:
http://www.thetford.com/HOME/PARTS/NorcoldIncRefrigerat...bid/298/Default.aspx
This is for a Norcold 1210 series, which is the four door model. If you have a 1210IM, the IM stands for Ice Maker.

Hey Luke -
I'm sure you don't want to hear this, but it IS possible to get the entire frig out the front-door...
I had mine back to Wildwood several times before Norcold finally authorized a whole new frig. One of the techs realized that, with the front-door completely off and the doors and cooling unit off of the frig, it would fit with about 1/2" to spare. Not wanting to knock out any windows, they tried it and it worked!
No leaks or holes in coach and cold beer, life doesn't get much better.
How's your coming along?

I took my coach in for the replacement AC heaters. That did NOT work. Now Norcold is sending a new power board. So, another run to the repair shop next week. I will update then.
