Friend of mine have the same problem with jacks retracting when ignition comes on, and he have decided to change the Nason switch.

He found a replacement switch that was cheap(ish) and ready available. Here are the details:

Best price so fare. Thank you to 2 chiefdave and Kathy

I have replaced my Nason switch once and the new one appears to be doing the same trick again. I have been putting off replacing it because of the cost of the previous one. Thanks to Nodine and danes-on-tour they have done all the work for me and I have now ordered a new one from Isaacs at a decent price. They had six (6) IN STOCK! My compliments to both of you and Steve at Isaacs!
Good luck and safe travels!

Just excellent work Bob

I hope that you forward your findings to Nason? I would love to read their reaction to your report.

Best of all - I now know where to order a replacement when mine fails the next time. BTW - what are your shipping rates

I take my hat off to you for your engineering excellence (you a retired engineer by any chance)? However, for the effort involved, if, and when, my Nason switch needs to be replaced, I will simply buy another one Sounds like a lot of work for little savings of bucks !!!!!!

As I say, however, nice diagnosis !! I always appreciate good analysis and diagnosis,.

Have read this thread totally.
Now for my question: my "low air" light come on the moment I start the coach along with the chime.
The park brake light goes out as soon as I disengage the park brake but the low air light is continuous.
Is this the same issue discussed above and will my problem be solved by replacing the switch.

Steve,

Does the chime continue when the air is fully up? I really don't think the Park Brake Nason Switch has anything to do with the Low Air system.

Take a look at the Hockey Puck looking device on the bottom of your front air tank.

Clean up the two terminals really well and then spray them with Battery Post Protector or coat them with a good silicone sealer.

See if that takes care of your Low Air light problem.

Steve,

I agree with Richard, it does not sound like your problem is related to the parking brake switch. Let us know if your air pressure comes up to 90 lbs or greater and check the air pressure sensor on the front air tank. The fact that you can release the parking brake tells me you have air pressure. As Richard describes, the air pressure sensor should look somewhat like a hockey puck and have two wires connected. You may have struck something on the highway that flew up and knocked one of the wires loose.

Ok thanks guys.
I'll include the info in my note to the repair facility.
Yes I had full air, everything operated normally. I just turned off the noise and put a bandaid across the annunciator.

I have the same problems on a 2005 HR Scepter with the brake chime staying on for a little while even though the air is up to normal. it sometimes comes on for no reason and goes back off. where is this pressure switch located?
