Mysterious Chime
All of a sudden, my 2007 Knight has started to chirp a steady chime (a bell tone about every second) as I'm about to get underway. Jacks are up, slides are in, steps have retracted, seat belts are on, yet as I drive away this chime starts and sounds for a few minutes then quits. Meanwhile, no dash lights offer a clue. I've checked the manual cover to cover and can't find any info on safety warning chimes. Any ideas.....it's driving me nuts!

Check battery voltage and air pressure. Air needs to be over 60 psi and battery volts over 12.6.

Just a guess, but how is the fluid level of your leveling Jack's (assuming you have one like mine). If it's getting low it may start a riveting once you put the coach in gear and release the brakes. Mine would also go off when making a left turn till I refilled it.

Could be the parking brake sensor. Mine will do it for a minute or two when I put it into drive. You can check to see if it is the brake sensor by putting the transmission in neutral. If the chime goes off it is the brake sensor.
Common problem with Monaco coaches.
Good Luck,

Many thanks men! At the moment, the parking brake sensor sounds like the most probable cause. Jacks fluid, air pressure and other options all check out......lost antenna last year!
If it turns out to be the brake sensor, where is it? Is it accessible for me to swap out? Where is a good place to get one?
You guys are awesome....I so appreciate the help!

Any idea where the sensor is located? Is this something the owner can replace?

Search this forum for the Parking Brake Sensor. Lots of good information.
Personally I will not change it until it beeps for more than a minute or two. Often I will stop and pull and push the parking brake to turn the alarm off.
It is located below the parking brake knob. Previous post leads me to understand that there are various models of the sensor so you will have to pull it to get the number for proper replacement.
Good Luck.

I've not had this issue (yet) but use the search bar for Nason Switch and see if any of those posts apply. Good luck.

It is attached to the bottom of your Park Brake plunger under the dash. Mine is located on the driver's side dash panel. It is called a Nason Brake Switch.
It has a few wires and one air line attached to it.
Should take all of 15 minutes to change it out.
Make sure you get the right one as there are many variations out there.
