I have been using NADA as one input to some coaches I am considering. Some time between 8AM and Noon today, the values of the coaches I have been looking at dropped about 20%.
Sign of the economic times!

This is the time of year when ALL of our vehicles offically become a year older.
Its just something that happens every year.

To be honest I've seen this trend developing over the past few months. I think what's happening is that sellers are starting to realize that the market isn't going to "bounce back" anytime soon. I've noticed a number of coaches that were optimistically priced and sitting around for 12+ months now dropping price aggressively, and then selling right away.

It's just the old adage showing its truth.
An item is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

It's just a model year change. It had to happen at some point and I guess you were just lucky enough to watch it happen.
Is anyone surprised the the prices of used RVs (used anything) are going down?

Nick-B is spot on in his comment that something is only worth what you can sell it for. It does not matter what you paid for it, or what you want for it, only what someone is willing to pay for it. George R. 2001 Diplomat

I guess with the price of fuel so high, with no relief in sight, affects the issue too.

I allways thought that the NADA price were supposed to be more accurate than other sites/books because they were supossed to be based on the average selling price around the country.
I still think it was just a model year change.
I know the dealers mark down the new 2011s the min the 2012s hit the lot and continunes futher as time marchs on forward.

I was intrigued by your observation and went to the NADA website to check the value of my MH and the price went UP by $7000.00 compared to the price when I checked it last week. so I am a tad confused as to what is going on with resale values these days!

oops! I was wrong, my NADA stayed the same. no change whatsoever. it wasn't until I got home and checked the NADA that I printed last week did I discover my error.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the NADA value on a gas coach go up. With the high price of diesel along with the high mainteance costs, I think many folks are trading diesel for gas, putting them more in demand. At least, that's what a couple salesmen have told me as I peruse their stock.

I don't think we've seen many posts here about this happening yet but I wouldn't be surprised.
