Need electrical advice !!

In a previous post I stated that I wanted to replace my '95 Dynasty side markers with LED's. Well, I went cheap and installed #194 bulb markers with two bulbs. I installed r/h side one day and all worked well. Next day installed r/h side and blew the fuse immediately! Removed all bulbs and still blew fuse! Discovered front/left marker wires are both hot with switch off and no fuse! My math tells me that these #194 bulbs will draw 6 amps. The markers use a 20 amp fuse. I'm about ready to go to the liquor store! Thx

Remove the light fixtures that you worked on. You have some wires shorted together. Once you find the short, reinstall one fixture at a time.

The light switch is probably switching ground and when you turn the switch on it immediately blows the fuse.

If you really wanted to test this you could pull the switch out and find out how it operates and then open the wire and put a bulb inline with that. If you get full brightness when the switch is activated you absolutely have wires shorted together up above.

Let me also add that the l/f side marker was the only one of the ten that was hot,,,,,both wires! Yellow and brown. I am suspecting the HD switch since it may be the weakest point in the circuit. Had trouble with a previous moho HD switch that would go out on hi beam!
