Need Help! No Headlights

Hello, I have a 2007 Monaco Knight. During a routine monthly engine run, I decided to do a light check and found no headlights. I did check and replace the 25 amp fuse in the distribution panel. It was not blown. I also checked the connection at the HL 459 in the distribution panel. I then swapped out the driving light relay VFM 11F41 with other relay and no luck. Both lights are not working, so I did try another bulb just in case both bulbs were bad. No luck there as well.

I am now concentrating on the headlight light switch assembly trying to remove it. Not sure how the knob comes off to remove the switch from the instrument panel. I do have a panel on top of the dash to be able to pull the assembly to check it out. Called REV this morning and they do not have any schematics for my coach. I am not an expert with a voltmeter.

Does anyone have a headlight wiring diagram for a 2007 Knight or Ambassador? I believe they would be the same.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what could be the problem? Maybe something I have not checked or thought about?

As always, your help is appreciated. My email address is 2chiefsrus@gmail.com

Check on each side of the 25 amp fuse that you changed to see if you have power to and from both sides.
Check on the terminal at the back of the switch to see if you have power to and from the switch.
Backtrack your feed untill you find a source that is hot.

if the headlight switch is similar to those I have removed in the past, there may be a release button on the switch body that enables you to remove the shaft with the knob. locate and push button in, pull shaft out. with knob attached. I do have wiring diagrams for 2008 Knight/ Ambassador on a disc not sure if I can figure out how to send to you over the computer.

Do you have the VIP smart wheel. My lights come on when I turn on the windshield wipers so I make it a habit to test them when I start driving.

When I get stumped on a car, I will take it to a dealer or local mechanic for a diagnostic to determine the problem (don't be afraid to negotiate the diagnostic cost prior). I then usually take the vehicle home to make the repair myself. It's cheaper than swapping parts until you find the problem.

Check the switch closely, My switch fried and I lost the headlights only also. They a cheap crap now-a-days and you are running a lot of currant with all of the running lights. I now keep a spare. mine was melted. could have been a fire.

TimAZ is correct the switch is a weak link .

The situation can remedied pretty easy though by incorporating relays .
The relays are used to carry the load while the switch then only has to
turn on the relays . At the same time the brightness of the headlights
can be improved as well .
I'm including a link that will explain it better the I can .

Here is video of how to remove the headlight switch .

Thanks. I did remove the switch and will test it today. Does anyone know the location of the ground for the headlights?
