Getting ready to leave Monday morning. Pushed the slide switch for the bedroom slide, it went out a couple of inches and stopped. The motor spins but the slide does not move.

Hoping not to ruin a 5 day trip to Branson, can it be pushed in and out by hand and how hard is it? Also, any ideas on what is going on with the slide?

Not sure what to do right now and not much time to do it.

On my last coach ,(07 Holiday rambler) the bolt that attaches the motor to the slide gears fell out. after a few tense moments it was discovered. Like you we could not get the slide in. Check in the motor area . could be the same issue.

Twor or three possible isssues: on my coach the main slide is a Power Gear Rack and Pinion bolt splitter.. Ok, so the "Bolt Splitter" is not part of the model. But it sure liked to shear off bolts on me, I finally (with the help of another forum member) put in longer bolts and washered them down, but you may have nothign mroe than a shear pin (bolt in my case) sheared.

I had the same problem. The bolts split and fell out. Probably if you look on the bottom of your storage bays you will find the sheared off bolts and nuts.

Thanks to those who replied. Looked for the bolts but didn't see anything. Had my wife try the switch while I watched the motor and gear. The motor shaft was turning but the gear did not. Saw it had 2 set screws that locked it in place. I could turn them with my fingers. Lined them up with a grove in the shaft, tightened them and back in business. I would have not have known where to start without the suggestions.

Trip saved and again, thanks.

Loose screws, sounds like me. Glad it was an easy fix.
