Needing help/info

Just picked up our "new to us" 2003 Monaco Windsor 40PST on Monday. Trying to learn the new systems around a very busy work week. We are planning some quality time in it this weekend but in the meantime would sure appreciate some help from fellow owners on two questions. 1) is there wiring at the back of the coach for electric trailer breaks as a standard or will I be needing to run them from the front? I am not seeing any wires for this in the plug already... 2) a friend advised me his Mountain Air's inverter will run small appliances while traveling without the generator (like the microwave). Tonight I tested mine and it has no 110 power...in fact the screen reads "waiting on 110 power) is this normal for this unit or do I have a malfunctioning inverter? Thanks in advance!

Trailer wiring isn't standard.

The inverter may be in stand by mode, on my RC7 screen there is a button you can press to initiate the inverter, the light will turn green when it is inverting.

You can run small appliances with the inverter but it does draw power from the batteries so if whatever you are running uses lots of power your better off running generator. The microwave pulls lots of amps so we won't run it off inverter. Coffee maker is lower amps and we can use inverter on this. On my rig the engine alternator will charge both sets of batteries.

X2 what Jim said...Don't be afraid to fire up the generator when ever needed. Breakfast is plenty of reason for the gen. Save the batteries for when you can't / shouldn't use the gen. The gen needs to be ran often.
