New coax cable?

My 2000 Dynasty has the typical switch box for directing video feeds front and rear. I would like to take out the old sat dish and replace it with a Winegard Trav'ler. The existing coax going to the bedroom will provide terrestrial and cable feed and I would like to run a new cable to the rear satellite receiver. Is there a simple way of feeding the cable through the attic or should I just glue it to the roof and drill down the the tv?

Our Trav'ler was installed with two new lines to the front TV for HD service and we used the existing lines for bedroom and outside TV's, they do not have HD. We also added new sat box in the bedroom so we could watch different TV stations and the outside TV shows the same as the front TV and uses a RF controller.

Very likely th4e cable does not run "Through the attic" but under the floor.

Down the "A" pillar (First pillar back of the windshield, in fact it's at the edge of same)

Then under the dash, under the floor by whatever means (Several routes present)
Along the frame rails then up into the bedroom.

I do not know your rig but in my case they often come up in the "WET" Bay, right next to the plumbing.. in fact I've routed a few that way myself.

norwestie.....The old cable running back to the rear from the TV antenna could probably be used for the rear receiver. If it needs the newer CAT 5 cable, I would run it down your front "A" pillar, under the coach and back up trhough an opening in the rear. The TravLer comes with two 30' lengths of coax. The roof would work, but under the coach may be cleaner with no additional holes in the roof.

We didn't want the expense of another sat receiver in the bedroom for the few times we used it, so we just used the old TV antenna cable to feed the rear bedroom TV. You can connect your front TV to the DirecTV receiver with an HDMI cable and connect the rear TV to the same DirecTV receiver with a modulator. You bring the sound and video out of the DirecTV receiver with RCA plugs into a modulator ($20.00) that connects to the old coax cable. The down side is that you have to watch the same things on both TV's and the rear TV will only be digital, not HD. Some of the DirecTV remotes can be switched to RF which allows you to change TV channels on the front box from the bedroom. Sorry if you already know all of this, but I thought I would through it out there.

We definitely want two HD receivers and the ability to hook up the cable is there are too many trees. When we ordered our 2009 Phaeton, we had the dealer install a Trav'ler. When we had to sell the Tiffin, we ordered a new 5th wheel and had the Trav'ler as well. Now that we are back in a Class A, we'll go with the old trusty Winegard. My wife and I call it cushy camping, watching high def with two receivers.

We just tell people we don't camp, we "RV". The HDTV and DVR go along with the washer/dryer and the central vac. We don't make any pretense about roughing it.
