Hi,
I'm new to this forum but have been RVing for a good number of years started in England in the late 60's with 3 kids in a 10ft. trailer. upgraded to a 12ft. After some years (rather a lot) bought a fifth wheel then a 36ft. gas and now a 40ft. diesel pusher.
I bought a 05 40ft. Monaco Camelot 3 months ago and love it.
We have added about 6,000 miles since then. We had quite a few problems but managed to fix most of them. Just have to get the toe in adjusted.
One problem has me foxed, the keyless entry.
Acording to the manual I need to find a small black push switch to reprogram the keypad.
Well I'm here to tell you I don't have one. There is a red one but this will not reprogram the keypad.
According to Monaco there is one but talking to Essex it is not their keypad and they say this push button should be connected to the keypad.
I've had the keypad out and there is no push button connected.
Anybody out there had this problem?

I am going here -but I want to welcome you to the iRV2 and the Monaco Forums! You will find a great group of owners here in the forum willing to try & help you as best we can.

I am going to ask a favor from you...can you post a photo here? (or click on my profile to get my email and email it to to me) It might make it easier to see the keypad in order for the right person to tell you how to do a reset.

Oh- and we do hope to see in at the Monaco Quartzsite party ...after all-you don't have that far to travel!!

Again-welcome to the Forums..we hope you visit & post often!

I would check to see it it is an Essex or a TriMark, My 06 Endeavor has the trimark and it has a red led and a black pushbutton attached. If it is the TriMark I have the install manual that has the instructions for reprogramming the keypad. Send me a Private Message with your email and I will send you the manuals.

First I must thank Monaco Mama and Dave/ Jerry for their offers of help.
I finally managed to find out which unit I had, it's a Trimark. Once that was established it was just a matter of obtaining the manual from there web site.
It still took 3 tries to get it to work. There is no black push button so I had to short the learning pins with a screw driver and change the authority code.
I'm now an expert on changing the codes.
