New Member Checking In also Ramco Mirrors

Greetings to all!!! I am happy to be here. I have been pouring over the threads as I am a new owner (1 month) of a 2003 Patriot and learning a few things, the trick for me is retention.

So far on my rig I've been digging into the Ramco mirrors, I found the tophat mirror convex lens laying on the ground at the storage shed and decided to dig in. The chrome is bubbling on the arms/bases with corrosion underneath so I'm cleaning that up and will get them painted with black Line-X and repair and replace as I go. Also get replacement control knobs since 2/3s of them are gone Any ideas on how to proceed or pointers from experience is always appreciated.

Again, happy to be here and I hope one day to know enough to help others figure out what they got themselves into.

Welcome to the forum. On the mirrors, you can get the arms and bases re-chromed at Space Coast plating In florida. There is a thread right now going about that. You could also clean them well and have them powder coated as a less expensive alternative. NWrvsupply has a lot of parts for our older units and may have some of the knobs you are looking for. Best of luck and Happy trails Bert
