Question New member from Orlando, FL

Hi, my husband and I have been married for 39 years and have 2 grown and married children and 5 grandchildren. We have owned motorhomes in the past. You know the ones you can't take to far from home...lol. We just purchased a 1995 Holiday Rambler Endeavor LE. It was beautifully kept and we actually consider this to be a "COACH" not a "camper". We are thrilled to start touring and enjoying our "coach".
We are having one issue and that is with the speedometer. It was working when we purchased the RV, quit on the drive home, read "error". We then experienced problems with it taking gas and accelerating. Paid $800.00 to have that fixed, didn't fix it. We were told that it was related to the speedo. Paid $300 to get the speedometer fixed, still doesn't work. That man said that it was the speed sensors and he doesn't do that. Replaced one sensor, still doesn't work. Does anyone know where the second sensor is located? Want to try replacing that one this afternoon. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

WOW ... Sorry for your troubles.. Did you buy the coach from a dealer? If so are they any help.. Extended warranty?.... Do you have a local RV shop you trust? Or are you doing the repairs yourself? Best of luck and Welcome to iRV2... D

No dealer, no warranties.....paid a rv mechanic (been in business 30 years) to fix the problem the first 2 times. Paid a dash cluster specialist (recommended by a personally known dealer) for the third "repair", my son replaced the speed sensor....still not working. We've got it scheduled to go into another garage tomorrow. I'm not very optimistic at this point.

One advantage that you have is your location (Orlando area). There are some really good and knowledgable RV repair facilities in FL, and what I would visit a campground (RV resort) and talk to some of the residents as to whom that they might recommend for repairs. Also, there is a listing of repair facilities on a WEB site that has facilities rated with comments for your perusal.

Good luck with getting those gremlins fixed.
