We bought a 2011 HR Endeavor 43 PKQ in late September 2011. This is our third diesel and sixth motorhome. Our previous was a 2003 HR Imperial and a 1998 Dutch Star. We had all sorts of problems with the Imperial during the first year. The dealer was totally incompetent and it spent something like 80 days out of the first year in the dealer shop and I ended up having to take it to Wakarusa to the HR service center twice before all the issues were resolved. After the issues were resolved, we loved it, except it had two slides.
Mr. Morris, we looked at the 2003 Endeavor when we bought the 2003 Imperial, but didn't feel that the quality was there. We looked at the 2011 HR Endeavor several times and there seemed to be very few things it didn't have the 2003 Imperial had, like a few lights and other bells and whistles. The 43PKQ floor plan struck me as rather strange at first, with the kitchen is in the front, living area in the middle. The second time I looked at it, I liked it much better. The third time at a RV show, I sat in the living area for about 30 minutes and realized the layout was more like an apartment than anything I had seen. We bought it and so far, we love it. I believe this is an Oregon built coach [built in June 2011] and it has a Cummins 425 and does not use diesel adatives for emissions compliance. This may have been a one year deal since Navistar moved their production back to Indiana as I understand, and am not sure if other 2012 models are using Cummins engines with similar emission systems or if they are using proprietary Navistar engines.
According to the brochure, this coach is 44' 3", has four slides, a residential refrigerator [glad to get away from the gas-electric fire hazards], an apartment sized washer and dryer, a sectional and a couch, and a king bed with a Sleep number matress. The chassis is the same chassis the Imperial and the Navigator use. We love it and have not had a single problem with the 2011 Endeavor so far.
