New "Monaco's"??

Anyone have experience with the new "Fleetwood" Monaco's?
How do they drive compared to a real Roadmaster chassis Monaco?

We made the mistake of going to the Tampa Supershow, and are currently seriously shopping, looking at a Monaco Marquis 44M.
The Fleetwood lineage is obvious. But our first coach was a Fleetwood, and I don't dislike them.

We currently have an '08 Knight that is aging.
While all new furniture (and some other stuff) is an option, it will never have aquahot or new quiet AC's or a tag axle or a big rear bath...

We have a 2015 Monaco Dynasty. The rides wonderful, the floor plan is excellent, it has everything in it we could want. The only thing wrong with it is they do not seem to be making it in 2018. We seem to be downsizing their rigs, I hope this does not mean they are downsizing the quality.

There are multiple threads here and in the Fleetwood forum on the new Monaco coaches. Click on the search this forum button in the upper right of the screen and do a search. Here's a link to a current thread: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/new-...re-375546.html

Seems to be mostly a lot of lamenting about how it just ain't Monaco anymore...
'course, it hasn't been Monaco since 2009.

I bought an Entegra Aspire.

Good observation.
I am guilty of this, sorry to say.

Not sure what you hoped to gain with this thread. Even if Monaco had stayed in Business I'm sure there would have been a lot of changes in the past 8 years.

While the old Monaco may have built a really good coach there business model was not the best or they would have survived the downturn.

There are Monaco members here from the Navistar and Rev eras because they bought and own a Monaco

What I'd hoped to gain was some actual experience with the Monaco and HR labelled coaches being built today, and how they compare to other coaches being built today.

While I can't say moving forward, but when we looked at the 2016 Diplomat's if we we're shopping that range of coach they would sure be in the running.

We are happy with our Navistar Monaco, which was a lot closer to the old Monaco than Rev's. Has it been perfect, no but most of our issues have been vendor related vs build quality

You just can't beat the 10 bag Valid Air System for road handling and ride. Glad I bought the last of the great chassis.

Oneknight,

I went from an 07 Diplomat to a 2017 REV Diplomat (mainly for the reasons you mentioned above) and I can answer questions about the differences, and about the XCM chassis that the new REV Marquis has. But I am confused. Yesterday at 8:34 you said you were seriously interested in the REV Marquis, but at 9:52 you said that you bought an Entegra Aspire. What is your actual situation?

He did not say he bought an Entegra Aspire, that was a response post.

We're at Lazydays now, completing the purchase of the Aspire.

General RV did not have the Monaco we need in stock, we bought our existing Monaco from Lazydays, and when push came to shove, looking at 2 unknown RV's, we went with the dealer we know.
Looking forward to the Crown Club membership.

Thanks for your input.
