I posted this in the Cummins section as well. I have a 2002 HR Endeavor with a 330 Cummins. The radiator shop says the main radiator can not be repaired. Does any one know if these radiators are an HR custom item or a Cummins item.

The radiator package/ CAC was purchased by Monaco from another vendor. They bought a lot of cooling packages from Radiator Specialities who I believe is located in CA. I would call Monaco with your coach # and see if they can give you a vendor and a part #. There are independent radiator/CAC builders out there who can fabricate a radiator/CAC for you.

They are not Cummins. What part of the country are you in? There are several shops that can do the work for you.

You say the radiator shop is saying it is not repairable. Are they offering any advise. Is it an auto shop? I would call Cummins & ask them who they sub their radiator work to. In SLC there has to be a truck radiator shop. There may be one who builds radiators, which is what you need.

Good luck. In 2005 my 2002 Ambassador needed a new radiator, old one was not repairable. Monaco said they had none in stock, vendor was no longer dealing with Monaco, so they quoted eight weeks for replacement. Ended up having a new one made locally, Sacramento, I think. Last October, my 2007 Scepter blew the turbo and took out the charged air cooler. Cummins was doing reapirs under the engine warranty. Monaco at first didn't even quote delivery time for CAC, then provided the vendor name. Vendor quoted at least 12 weeks. Even Cummins could not get a new CAC any sooner. Finally sent old one to a company in LA and had a duplicate made.

Well......Monaco does not have affiliation with the shop that originally made the radiators, although they did provide me with the name and phone number. We did find on that will work out of Oregon and it will be here on Monday. Don't break your radiator. The replacement cost for the radiator alone is $2600.00. The shop that Monaco used originally was higher then that.

Mine had developed stress cracks along several of the tubes that had finally cracked all the way and started leaking.

Thank you for all the comments

Yep and a CAC is Quoted at around $3 to 4,000 from Radiator Specialties and fleet air rebuilt my CAC for $950 with a new CAC core and would have repaired the old for $650 they also can rebuild Radiators as has alredy been stated with a better core than that Radiator Specialties stuff that you now have in your coach also be sure to test the CAC before they install the Radiator. It dont cost you anything to talk to these guys Toll Free: (800) 398-5471

I didn't see your posting earlier so you may have resolved your problem. I had the same problem with my Safari Sahara. It was repaired once and then leaked again at another location a few months latter. It was suggested by my repair facility to have the radiator completely rebuilt and re-cord by a specialist who does all of their large tractor trailer rebuilds. That's what we did and that was the end of the problems. If looks mean anything it appears to be much beefer then the previous radiator. My repair facility has assured me that once these are rebuilt they seldom see anymore problems. I would think that any large truck repair facility should be able to handle this problem.

RV-Chassis Isn't the sponsor of this forum a radiator vendor?
