Do you have to jack the MH up to replace the shocks?

Just with the leveling jacks; with heavy duty jack stands in place for safety, of course. Harbor Freight about $100 a pair. Some twisting and reaching way up there..... some were much easier than others, all had locknuts. Did the front in '15' and rears in '16'. The front made the biggest improvement. TB

I meant the RR8R AND RR8S. I wasn't clear about which chassis I was talking about.

You actually don't have to. I replaced my rear shocks without jacking the coach up. You just have to come up with a method to compress the shocks. Some people have used ratchet straps and I used a bottle jack and 2X4.

Barmcd.

I was really worried about the stud sizes based on many posts I read online about a difference between sae and metric, especially since the coach is made in the US and the Bilsteins are German. Even though the original shocks are Bilsteins.

They came with a metal spacer sleeve for the smaller stud, but the mechanics didn't have to use them. They ones listed on my primary posting were a perfect fit without any alterations. Each shock took about 15 minutes to install by the shop. Remember that if you get a quote for much more time than 15-30 minutes each.

The mechanics used the leveling jacks to just support and level the coach, but didn't really lift it any higher than a normal driving height.

Yeah, I didn't have any issue with the stud diameter fitting the eye of the shock, but the stud wasn't long enough to go though the eye and have the nut screw all the way on the stud. The stud was too short for the width of the eye.
