The Vikings have decided that it's now time for another raid on the great US

In mid February we will start making the area around San Antonio, Tx unsafe and over a 3 month period we will move towards Florida.

Should you see our "longship" going past your "longship" at any point, please drop in and see us. Don't be a stranger.

This time the raid will only last the 3 month. This is all we are going to risk for now. Future raids will be all down to the reaction of the airport "Welcome committee".

See you IRV2ers on the road soon

.

While in the Texas, be sure to look up the Texas Boomers and see what we are doing and where. We like foreigners and can put up with just about anyone. Hard to embarrass this bunch.

Only 2 weeks to go before we hit Medina Lake outside San Antonio - we just can't wait now to once again hug "The big Dipper".

I have practised all winter saying "y'all" in an effort to blend in when I get there. I now can't see what it should be that would prevent me from looking and sounding like a local (except maybe the horns on my helmet and my sword)

Hope to see some of you on the road

I'm certain you'll be completely incognito, Henrick. Welcome back!

Henrick and Anne,
Enjoy your outing in Texas. It should be a welcoming change for you this time of year. I hope to see you folks again. Maybe next year in QZ.

Welcome back Henrick. Maybe our paths will cross, we are heading out for central Florida in March. Would luv to meet you and Anne. Keep us posted on your progress and where you will land in FL. BTW, the Escapee clan hide out in Livingston, TX. If you get a chance visit them. Someone is always throwing a party and lots of beer is flowing. If you take I10 eastbound plan to stop in the Breaux Bridge Louisiana area, just east of Lafayette. fantastic Cajun food. Google Breaux Bridge and a dozen or so places will pop up.

Have a safe trip

Henrik...I tried to get Sacs to head over to Texas without me... he told me today that he would have gone if he had known you would be landing in the Lone Star state when you are.

Safe travels both as you fly over the pond and also as you travel around in the "Big Dipper" !

If you are ever in the Junction TX area you should stay a few nights at the South Llano River State Park. We are camp hosting here for the month of February and we would love to meet you guys. We have been in Texas since December 09 as camp hosts and we absolutely love this state. We actually learned a few Texan words since we have been here, (y'all and younder). In March and April we are moving on to McKinney Falls State Park in Austin then going up the east coast. This full time lifestyle is the greatest.
