No More Parts From Monaco??

I had read that Monaco sold all their older parts to North West RV Salvage. I was at Northwest today and here is what they told me. The bought all 20,000 sq. ft. of parts that were in the National Parts Center. I have no idea what that entails and whether that means there will be no more parts availability from Monaco. Has anyone orderd any Monaco specific parts from Monaco in the last 2 weeks? Northwest also has all the electronic cataloging. They are still doing an inventory. I did see some goodies on the shelves. Lots of Monaco Intellitec boards. While I was there one fellow bought one of those infamous rad plastic tanks for under $250. It was the last one! If Monaco is no longer providing parts support that is bad news for all of us! Obviously there are many parts that are common and others that can be sourced but Monaco specific items can be a problem. Especially many of the Intellitec boards that only fit Monacos. If anyone knows a company that can repair these boards that would be good information. I asked Intellitec and they were of no help. I know that one of the board suppliers does not sell to indivuduals.

Monaco may be selling off their parts inventory prior to moving to Indiana. Then reorder at the new location. Probably cheaper for them to do it that way.

Navistar has shown less and less interest in supporting legacy products as time goes on. Looks like they are outsourcing their legacy parts support. Now, the question is, are they going to produce new parts to replace depletion of old stock? The rest of the story is needed here.
OBTW Moisheh, did you check to see if your Manobloc had a turnoff for the AquaHot? The only unused valve on mine is the tiolet hot side which isn't used for the toilet. (Duh)

pusherpilot: I must admit I forgot all about the monoblock. Will check tomorrow in daylight. I too am wondering about parts support for legacy units. There is no way they would sell off all the parts at probably 10 cents in the $ and then reorder more for Indiana. Remeber that in that 20,000 sq. ft were all kinds of goodies. Rare parts for earlier units. Many of the parts are really not available un les you can place large orders. For instance I bought the OEM Intellitec BIRD board today @ Northwest. This is a Monaco only board. If Monaco or anyone else wants to order these Intellitec will have a minimum run size. When I had that small almost fire in my front run bay I needed the DRL board. Monaco had this and it was cheap. Around $65.00 The parts guy said if they have to get more of these the price will be more than double. Apparently Monaco announced all of this at a rally. Why didn't people speak up. If Monaco drops support for older units then we are relegated to orphan status. Maybe next they will drop the tech support????

I don't think they sold ALL their parts... the Northwest site says the bought the parts as of 9/1/2011. I order a part from Monaco around the 15th of the month for my 03 and it shipped from their warehouse so... that tells me they still have parts, at least some parts.

At the Monaco Western Come Home Rally, they said the contents of the legacy parts warehouse was sold to Northwest RV Supply. Northwest RV Supply will inventory the parts and sell to the public while also providing parts access to Monaco. It gives us, the customers, another source for parts with the possibility of quicker response and the ability to walk through the rows of available parts.

Retired from the trucking industry, and familiar with the name NAVISTAR. International Trucks. Cheap trucks from the word GO. So, don't expect much from that NAME.

Do a search in this forum and you will see the posts about how that rad tank cracks and leaks. There is a write up from one person who also replaced the hose. On My rear rad Dynasty it is on the right hand side when you open the engine bay door. These have been problematic for years. The rad cap is at the top and a large hose goes from there to the cooling system. Also has a low coolant sensor and it is an overflow. And yes they are as infanous as a non human object can be.. Also very expensive to buy from Monaco.

I got what you mean now. I thought you were saying and I was reading red and not rad plastic tank. If I would have read rad, then I probably would have figured out you meant radiator tank. Thanks for the explanation.
