Hi Sports fans, I have a 96 Dynasty! We are on our way to Vermont from Florida! We lived in our Dyn all winter with no problems! Three days a go on the way I started the Propane Gen to have the roof Air on. The air didnt come on! Getting here to the campground I find we have no power from the Shore post either! I had a tester and the Cable is good and 50A at the post! Any ideas? I checked the bedroom breakers and the Gen breakers! Help! allegro5

It sounds like you have a problem with the changeover box. I think the out put side is burned out. Remember you have two inputs (gen. and powerline) But only one output to the breaker box. Start checking here. If that is ok, next take the cover off the breaker box and check the input. Of course make sure you have no power on when checking these.

Do you have an automatic transfer switch? If so try tapping on it and see if it is just stuck. The points may have burned together, but sometimes they just stick.

Check the voltage at the main breaker in the AC power panel. If you do not have voltage there it's possible the transfer with is defective. Do you have a surge protection device?

ga traveler, After rereading your issues about my Changerover box, I think your right on! I have just had this old Dynasty a year, and I had to replece a large guage wire when I got it! It did come out of that box! I cut back and spliced in a foot long section! Dont remember how that came out, but its a lead to what you told me! Will check it over when I have a chance! God Bless! I agree with ga traveler. Same thing happen to us last weekend. No shore power and gen would cut after 20 seconds. Our transfer switch shorted on the output. We took the plastic cover off (iota it's-50r) and could smell the burn order. The genset would cut out after the 20 second delay. We put in an ESCO switch yesterday and problem solved. We also had a problem with the saleman switch, we bypassed and while not the cause of the ATS problem, I believe it began the events that fried the ATS.

There is a solenoid located in the electrical bay. Most likely in the front one have someone turn the salesman switch on and off and if the relay is clicking that will be the right one. Remove the large wires on each side and bolt them together. Remove the small wires and tape them seperately, don't connect them.
