For starters......Model of fridge

Is this 'lack of cooling' on AC Power, On LP or same for both?

Is fridge in a slide out?

Is this a NEW problem......worked OK now doesn't?

Do you have an error codes...upper control panel
red Lights, Flashing Lights, Digital DIsplay etc

Model would be very helpful and some details vs just doesn't work

I am having the same problem on a Norcold 1200 series fridge. The freezer is fine, but the fridge won't cool. Checked the Thermistor, but that was in tolerance. The door remains closed (no beeping). I did get the dreaded blinking numbers, so the unit went into BOS. I am going to replace the Thermistor just to be sure. But since the unit is in BOS and set to 9, it should be freezing in there.

Any ideas? Thought it might be that it is not removing the heat behind the unit, but then the freezer should be warm too.

In my unit, there is no sliding Thermistor. It's just clipped to the fins.

You should start your own thread so answers don't get confusing.

thermistor location .....
The thermostat is 'calibrated' to achieve temp range based on OEM location of thermistor on specific fins

Moving the thermistor UP/DOWN can have MINOR temp affect for those models that have ATUO TEMP CONTROL (no temp setting adjustments)
Majority of those models are Dometic

I dont know the model, its a 4 door. i believe a 1200, im not home to check.

this is a new issue within the last 6 months, it was working fine before that. The issue is the same on both LP and AC.

The fridge is not mounted on a slideout

no error codes.

doesnt seem to matter what the setting is on, 1-9 have the same results

Norcold 1200
Should have external fans..controlled by t-stat attached to Condenser FIN at top
Not running results in not enough hot ammonia vapor being condensed into cold liquid ammonia to absorb the heat in Bothe freezer and food compartment

Airflow is critical to good cooling
If airflow is obstructed due to insullation falling down or roof vent blocked by debris/birds nest etc----once again not enough hot ammonia vapor being condensed into cold liquid ammonia to absorb heat from Both section

Off level operation will disrupt the coolant gravity flow downward thru absorber tubes to absorber tank.....lack of coolant flow/lack of cooling effect

Door seals...allowing warm air in/coldair out

Thermistor...temp sensing probe on FIN in food compartment
IF faulty.........thermostat could be short cycling heat sequences...lack of ammonia vapor/liquid ammonia

***unplug thermistor at lamp assembly and let fridge run for 12Hrs minimum on AC ---then check fridge temps
W/O thermistor thermostat wiil run heat source continuously resulting in MAX cooling affect

IF still warm in food compartment..........cooling unit obstructed between frrezer Evap Coil and Food compartment Evap Coil. Cooling unit DEAD

Frozen water bottles means 32 degrees - not good for a freezer - should be in the 0 - 10 degree range.
