It is a fiberglass problem and requires the entire fiberglass to be stripped off and re-coated, then painted. Very costly! You are looking at tens of thousands of dollars! Something that most of us cannot afford to do.

I would like to get a Class A lawyer to take a class action suit against the fiberglass vendor as Monaco won't do anything for anyone regarding this issue.
So would a lot of others but as I get it Monaco and the fiberglass vendor already settled and the vendor is now without liability in the issue.

Is this cracking gel coat just an issue with motor homes? I have not heard of problems like this with trailers/5th-wheels. Some of the upscale 5th-wheels are painted as the motor homes are. Personally, I think that the manufacturers decided to go with a 'cheaper' product to save money and the problems are a result of that.

I'm noticing some cracks in the gel coat on my 11 year old coach. Not going to worry too much. It would cost more than it is worth to fix the cracks.

I don't know how true this is, but when I asked about this cracking problem, (I was worried about what would happen with my Signature if this problem ever became an issue) I was told by one of the upper management people at Monaco that Monaco actually owned the company that made the walls, and since Monaco had just filed bankruptcy I was out of luck.
