Nylon slide runners
Has any of you guys had the nylon sliders crack under the big passengers side slide. While in Goshen at the MS419 rally had one of the guys looked at mine and they looked cracked at the screw holes that hold them in place. Have it in shop now and they are looking at it and will let me know next week what has to be done

Harry see if you can get some pictures I have not heard of the main guild runner broke. Only the plastic runners under the slide it self that the rollers run on.

The broken ones are the plastic runners attached to the bottom of the slide itself

I had those glides under the slide explode. Made new ones our of UHMW. Just took them off to install guardian plates, which work well.
The UHMW glides were and easy install, with a tad of creativity.

My slide runners cracked badly and I replaced them last year. The factory runners appear to be 3/16" thick nylon, which I couldn't find in stock anywhere. So I bought 4" X 1/4" thick nylon plates from an on line source of extruded plastic. The extra 1/16" makes no difference on slide operation or fit.
Total cost for me was about $50. I did not have to lift the slide itself, I figured out a way to replace them from the outside only. Some repair systems require you lift the slide. Some systems use stainless plates instead of nylon, but that requires you to protect the ceramic tiles every tine you operate the slides.
I can probably find before/after pictures of my install if needed.

I will say that I have 1 SS rivet that is running on my tile on 1 side.
Contemplating drilling that rivet out, but that might let the entirety of the SS plate rub...

Drill 1/32 flange in the existing hole and recess rivet slightly.

Well I guess I have a guardian angel looking over my shoulder as the extended warranty is replacing the nylon/teflon strips at no cost. But thanks for all the replies

John:
I had the same thing happen on a recent install I did. I found the rivet stud broke off a little above the rivet button. I took a dremel tool and ground off that spot so it was recessed.
Also I wanted to thank you for your input on your plate install. Because you took the time to let me know about the center rivets on your bedroom slide we changed the design of those plates so they no longer have rivet/roller contact. I appreciate it when a customer gives me feedback. I strive for perfection and every little bit of input helps me deliver a great product.

I'm going to have to tackle this job next week myself. I will be using hard plastic puck board as suggested by my mobile tech. Doesn't look like it will be all that difficult

Slide Runners
Just had my slide runners replaced at REV Coburg, Oregon. They used a 6" piece of Stainless Steel instead of the plastic. They also adjusted my slide and a couple of other items. Great folks and good quality.
