Odometer rollback??
I bought my 2008 Sig with 12,000 miles in Mar of this year. Now camped in Colorado with 18000 miles on my odometer but while trying to learn all the features of my built in Navigation system, I found a catagory for "Mileage Log". When I checked this log on the gps, "Log A" shows "active" with 34,000 miles on it. I can't see how the built in gps would have that big a differance from my odometer unless the odometer has been rolled back or reset somehow.
I contacted Monaco tech and he said I could have the ECm read and get the actual miles on the engine but no one around here can read it. I don't leave here for about a month but will get it checked by Cummins while on the road home. However, this is a bit worrisome to me now. Have any of you run into this situation or heard of it?

Bill, on my Aladdin system it gives a total miles and total engine hours readout from the ECM. It is one of the pages that is there for tracking gas mileage and trip logs. It should be close to what your odometer shows. Mine is not exactly the same milage but is close. I can get back to you with a more exact page location later.
34,000 miles would be a lot of driving on a 2008 coach. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Also it is pretty hard to rollback an odometer these days.

Bill if you can find someone with a VMSpc you can check it with a laptop by connecting to the engine computer where the mileage, engine hrs and total fuel is stored. If your title says 12,000 then I would think you have a case that the coach was misrepresented, It may be pretty hard to role back but not hard to replace and cummins and allison with go with the mileage on the computer.

FWIW I may be Way off base because I know Nothing about your device, however, make sure the value you are reading is miles not kilometers.

Walt, the Signature MH gives the VMSpc readout on the internal Aladdin System.

Thanks for the input, I did find the total miles on my Aladdin menu and it was same as my odometer. Don't know what could have happened to the GPS.

If the GPS was drifting for some reason when left on it would add up the miles. Maybe the previous owner had it stored in a place with no or weak GPS signal with power on the coach so it drifted. Glad all is well.

Is the GPS removable that maybe the previous owner used it in his car also. Or maybe the GPS was returned to the factory and re sold or built in China and tested there using the locate my position and then shipped to the US for sale.

One possibility is the GPS remembers the trip via semi truck from the factory to the dealer.

The Signature is driven to the dealer not shipped via a semi.
