Anybody know how many quarts of oil a 400 cubic inch Cummings diesel 2008 holds with a new filter.

Read your owners manual. It will have the engine oil capacity in quarts.

Try finding the Cummins engine number and search on that. That should yield some results.

Is that a 6.7 liters? My truck held 12 quarts.

Good afternoon Allbrand1999; I just went to the on line manual at Holiday Rambler.com. You can go down to the bottom of the page and you will see manuals. Click on manuals and put your model and year in and you will get a downloaded manual. I thought yours was an 07, miss read, and look under the chassis section on page number 257. For your ISL it shows a capacity of 26 quarts and I am sure that is with the filter. Do you have the build sheet for your coach? If not you can call Monaco/Holiday Rambler and give them the Vin# and they will E-Mail you your build sheet. On that will be the engine ID. number. Hope this info helps. P.S. Just read your post again and I see that is not for your Imperial. Disregard the above info.

Give NW RV Parts in Coleburg, OR a call. They have many Monaco owners manuals for sale.

Your original post says 400 cubic inch. If a 400 HP ISL it should be around 24-26 quarts if with standard oil pan.

Hi again Allbrand1999; So I guess I jumped the gun and answered your question. As for an actual owners manual in print, as Mhcorrigan posted, you could try NW RV Surplus/Supply. They are in Eugene Oregon. The build sheet from the factory contains all the components on a sheet showing engine type and mfg, front axle, rear axle, water pump, A/Cs, transmission and on and on. Shows model numbers and serial numbers. As I posted, you can get this from Monaco/Holiday Rambler by calling them and giving them your VIN# off your coach. Then they will E-Mail that to you. It is handy to have when you need parts or info on a component on your coach. I keep mine in a file next to my desk top computer. Hope this answers your question. I don't have the current Monaco? Holiday Rambler phone number, but I am sure someone reading here will post it. Good luck!

Hi Allbrand1999,

The Holiday Rambler technical assistance website is:

https://www.holidayrambler.com/technical-assistance

The phone number for parts, service $ technical support is:

800-435-7345

Hope this helps you find the information you're looking for. I've been very pleased with the support REV RV Group (Owner of HR, Monaco, American Coach & Fleetwood) has provided when I've had to ask questions on my Monaco or have service completed by them at their Decatur, IN facility.
