Onan 75K generator question
Generator will not start....get error code 19...checked power connection, three fuses under radiator cap all checked good. When I checked the starter with a volt meter at the point where the ignition switch lead plugs on the starter test showed grounded now that it's being determined that the starter is bad.....next step was to test for voltage on the ignition wire when the starter switch was pressed ...no voltage...read on previous thread that one of the members found a problem with a relay that was under the generator cover...can the cover be removed on 2003 Monaco without removing the generator if yes need instructions

What model Monaco do you have, is the generator on a slide.
You pretty much have to have full access to the generator to remove the cover. There are bolts all the way around the top.
A friend just had the same problem (code 19), turned out to be wiring going to the governor. This is a common problem with the vibration. He took it to a Onan service shop, they found it. The parts were cheap with ~1 hrs labor but his generator was on a slide.

The starter switch does not run directly to the starter, therefore you will not see any voltage at the starter posts when pushing the START/STOP button. The voltage present at the start/stop switch itself is merely control voltage and cannot be used to verify anything.
An Error 19 has nothing to do with the starter, nor the start circuit at all. An error 19 can only occur when the unit is running. I suggest this error was set during a previous run.
Disconnect the remote harness, top corner of the genset. This will disconnect all other start/stop switches except the one right on the front of the genset.
When you push and hold STOP can you hear the fuel pump run?
While pushing and holding STOP and if the fuel pump is running, check the DC voltage going into the generator. Does it drop below 10 volts?
If you push and hold START does the light flash quickly? If so, push and hold START for up to 60 seconds - the glow plug circuit should be energized during this period... does the starter circuit begin to engage? If not, repeat the process with a voltmeter in the DC line.. what is the voltage dropping to when the glow plugs are trying to heat?

DROPS FROM 13.62 DOWN TO 13.22 THEN TO 13.62 BACK TO 13.62
Thanks ...what's my next step?

Mine did the same thing, I checked the fuses under the rocker switch and ended up pulling the cover on top of the genset.
I had a sensor wire lose. Tightened it and it fired up immediately.
Good luck
