About 9 years ago my Onan 8K started dripping coolant on that lower hose. I found the leak and tried to tighten up the clamp to stop the drip. Did not have any success with that so pulled the covers off to change the hose and found the problem to be the clamp that Onan had used on that hose. It was one of those clamps that would only reduce so far and then ran out of screw slots. Replaced the clamp with one that would reduce down further and problem solved. Below is a photo of the old clamp.

Interesting. That is indeed the clamp they used. When I tried to tighten, it felt like they where tight against tubing. Now I wonder!

Hopefully you didn't reuse that clamp.

I was browsing the forum and happened on your post. I've been looking for a good, capable, trustworthy Cummins shop in the New Braunfels TX area. Please PM or post the company name.
