Had an incident today that is puzzling. Backedhe MH out of shop, set the brakes and jumped out to close the door. Pulled a real no/no and forgot the put the unit into neutral, got out and closed the door, when came back to MH the door was locked, . The keyless entry nor my spare key would allow the door to open. Played with it for 10 minutes then the door opened. I hope to never do this goof up again but I really would like to unnderstand why I couldn't unlock the door. The solenoid/door latch was clicking in the door all the time I tried to open it.

Please help if you know why or what I should look for.

Thanks

This happens to me sometimes when using the keyless lock system. My deadbolt latches on occasion.

Open engine compartment flip switch to rear and stop engine. The door can then be opened. Sometimes these switches are inside the RRB (rear run box) depending on the model. Be sure to set it back to front or you will be wonderingwhy it won't sart from the driver position.

Thanks for your reply, to tell you the truth I had thought of this but I kept working the key in the lock and finally the door opened? The door lock kept rattling all the time that I kept working it.

Thanks again. This forum is a wealth of information for us novices.

I have a spare set of keys in a water-tight container hidden in the only non-lockable compartment I have, the LPG tank compartment. Have never had to use them, but there may come a day when I will.
