The technician who installed it, of course.
There are two or two by two different inverter installs.
One of the "Two's" is "in-line" or "Stand Alone", An inline has 120vac in, 12o volt out and 12 volt bi-directional. It can usually charge the battery, Think UPS on steroids and you have a good idea of what it is.
The Stand Alone has 12 volt in and 120 volt out only.
The other two is Plug in or wired, IN-lines are normally wired and stand alone types are normally plug in.
On the plug in type there are outlets on the inverter.. You plug into it, Selected outlets may actually be "Extension cords" of a sort.
However the In-line types the 120 volt system looks like this
Source = Generator or shore power
Shource ---Main Breaker box--Branch breaker-----Inverter---Sub Box--Branch Breakers---Loads
In this case to make a circuit inverter powered,, Locate the branch breaker that powers it in the main box. Disconnect and move it, breaker and all, to the SUB panel. (Second breaker box or, in some cases, a 2nd section of the main box)
