Outside coax connector?
Hello all, I have a 2008 HR Endeavor SKQ. I have a television coax connector and an electrical plug in one of my passenger side storage bays and I would like to get a small tv to occasional use when we are outside... Maybe keep track of a ball game or something... Volume low, don't want to disturb anyone.
Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you know what this bay coax connector is connected to? I don't currently have a tv that I can test it with.... I was thinking that maybe it is connected to the same tv input that the mid ship tv inside the coach is connected to... Hope this question makes sense.
Anybody have any outside tv connected to this coax connector? Is it the same input as your inside living room tv?
I don't want to buy a tv and find that I can't use this bay connector....
Thank you for your time, Brian.

Brian..If it's anything like my coach it is connected to the BOMB (Box Of Many Buttons). If you are set up for a TV in that bay. If can post a pic of the bay and your controller you may get some more answers.
Good luck.

Look on the back wall of the cabinet above the driver. There should be a row of coax connections. I have done so many modifications to mine I can't remember the original setup. The connector on the left is for using an external satellite dish so the cable is straight through and could be used. I believe the second connection in the electric cable bay is for park cable input.
I can tell you that there are no splitters or other devices between each end of those cables.
If you have not bought a signal trace I highly recommend one. Not expensive and it can save hours of headaches.

Thank you for the replies so far. YC1 thank you for your response especially because I know you have the exact coach model that I do...
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. I have a park cable connector and an external satellite connector in the rear drivers side electrical bay where the 50 amp plug is located... I'm talking about the smaller passenger side bay directly in front of the rear tires. This is where the coax connector that I'm wondering about is located...
There is no indication on the switching box over the drivers seat, regarding the outside coax in the passenger side bay.
The reason that I thought this coax connector may be split off the main tv, is that it is located in the bay directly below the inside main tv.
I'm sorry, I have not had any luck posting pictures yet but will try again when I have more time... Have to get to work now.
Thanks again, Brian.

Outside coax connector?
You can put a paper clip in one end and bend it so its in contact with the outside threaded barrel. Better yet if the copper pin is long enough bend it to contact the outside barrel. Then check continuity on the other end by putting a meter on the copper pin and the outside threaded fitting. Continuity yes. Disconnect paper clip. Continuity no. That's the wire put a label on it

That's going to be the output for an outside TV. Does the switch box have three groups of buttons, maybe TV 1, TV 2, TV 3? If so this outlet should be the output for TV 3.

If the switch box has only two groups of buttons, TV 1 and TV 2, the outside coax plate may be connected with the TV 2 output. Mine was like that. There was a splitter in the cabinet behind the bedroom TV.

My box of many buttons, (I like that name), has tv1, tv2,vcr, cable, ant.
Thanks for all the help. Looks like depending on what year and model of rig they are different. I'm going to have to hook up a tv and experiment with how it is connected.

I bet it's off the TV 2 output using a splitter! You might want to invest in a tone tracker from Harbor Freight to be able to trace out the cables!
Cable Tracker
