I purchased an acrylic rod the same diameter as the original handle & milled the ends to fit -- I used a band saw to do the milling -- I purchased 2 feet of the rod but only used less than a foot -- There are different kinds of acrylic rods -- Don`t get the extruded -- The diameter is a little off -- Bill Willard

Mine bit the dust a couple of years ago. I called Newmar and they sent me a new stainless version that was properly shaped and works perfectly. I seem to remember that there was no charge for this replacement. The coach was well out of warranty.

I guess its all these little "expensive" pieces that add up - to make these coaches cost over $300,000 new.
