What are you guys using for outside plugs....or for that matter anywhere in the basement? I cant believe there is no outside power other than a single outlet for the vacuum. Am I missing something?

The only plug I know of is the curbside aft basement. It would be easy to tap into the power there and run it to another part of the basement or outside. Just came to me, there is a 120v outlet in the rear of the coach for the block heater. I can open the doors in the back and it is located on the upper left side of the radiator on the steel casing.

Same plugs...same places..but Sacs did rewire the one on the passenger side so that I had a couple of extra plugs for light duty use.

MM,
I kinda did the same thing, bought an extension cord at Home Depot. That's called a redneck electrician.

BTW, do you know the last words uttered by a redneck?

"Hey, watch this"

Hi BraggSurvivor,
Our Cheetah has the same storage compartments as your Diplomat (and MonocoMama's and SacsTC) for that matter. Our plugin is in the front of the front curbside compartment along with the cable plug-in for a TV and a light that has no switch. (oh yeah, light switches in the compartments are another of my gripes...none, except for the wet bay). I may be doing some wiring myself also but so far we haven't had the need. We usually wind up with a few extention cords on the ground coming out of the compartment during dogshows. Not exactly pleasing to the eye but we try to kick them all under the coach when not used. I feel your pain buddy. NICE coach by the way.

Sacs -- On our Camelot, there are 2 recepts side by side in the curb side bay -- One goes thru the inverter, & one not -- IF,I was going to install another recept for outside use, I would go thru the block heater recept -- It`s 110 here in sunny AZ.so I have nothing better to do than spread my wisdom -- Bill Willard

O.K...Now that everyone else has told you where the plugs are, I'll tell you not to put very much load on them as they are wired through the Inverter, along with about 11 others... If you use the one in the back electrical compartment, that is for the block heater and has its own 20 Amp breaker in the main breaker area... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

SacsTC,
That's a good point to keep in mind, expecially if you plug in something that might require quite a bit of power.

SacsTC,
Thanks for pointing out the fact of the recepticle coming from the inverter. I didn't know that, but it makes sense since the other TV's are hooked into it.

Been there, done that! You don't want to have dueling hair dryers if you don't like to go outside with your bath robe on to reset the breaker.

Yeah, or if you have the tv and satellite and stereo going and MM starts the MWave Oh yeah, don't forget the "small" electric aux heaters or the blow dryers.. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
