In our 2009 Camelot, the defroster vents are located overhead behind the TV. Today while starting the engine, the defroster blower came on and will not shut off as long as the ignition is on. All dash controls are off.

Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions to fix?

Thanks.

Can you change speeds with the switch? Can you ID your chassis?

No we can't change speeds. Not sure what you mean about Chassis. It is a Monaco, Camelot 2009. The defroster vents are on full blast with warm air coming out even when ALL controls are off. Moving any of the controls does nothing to affect the defroster vents. Hope this helps.

On our Freightliner Chassis there are several vents above the windshield and behind the TV. There are two rocker switches on the dash, One for off/on, the other for fan speed. I believe they are listed as overhead fans.

We have a 2008 Endeavor and it has the optional Aux blower which operates a 2 speed fan to assist in windshield defrosting. The switch is on the console, any chance that was accidently turned on? That happed to me once, that is when I figured it out, middle is off, up is high and down is low. It is independent of the controls on the dash.

I do not know your rig but on many vehicles (Most all GM and Workhorse products for example) the blower is powered by a system of relays, there is a LOW SPEED relay which sends power through the switch and resistors to speed up and slow down but when you choose HIGH a "High Speed" relay closes... My guess. Contacts on same are welded.
