Pac brake

I have a 99 Windsor with a foot operated Pac brake.According to the owners manual and info from this site one is to hold down the foot switch to keep the brake activated. This can be tiring on a long hill. Can the foot brake be easily changed to an off/on switch placed in the dash or shift pad? Thanks.

Yeah, it can. The foot switch is just that -- a switch. Get a new on/off switch, disconnect the wires to the current one and move them to the new switch.

Why is it tiring to keep the foot switch on? Mine was a long reach so I moved it closer to the seat so I didn't have to extend my leg for it. It's just screwed into the floor with screws.
